I found this article today. I found an alternative to Scented Oils, and from experience I am quite happy with it.

Jar of heated oil spills and burns Roy baby
Published: Tuesday, May 30, 2006 10:49 p.m. MDT
ROY — A 1-year-old child was hospitalized Tuesday after he suffered second-degree burns.
Roy Fire Capt. Ron Lathem said the child was seated near a jar of heated, scented oil resting on a table Tuesday morning. The child apparently pulled on a cord attached to the jar and the oil spilled over his head, shoulders and back. He suffered second-degree burns over about 30 percent of his body, Lathem said.
Paramedics responded, and Roy Police Sgt. Pete O'Brien said Life Flight flew the child to Primary Children's Medical Center. Doctors said skin grafts won't be needed, and the child is expected to make a full recovery, O'Brien said.

I Got My First Warmers - Gifts Are Awesome
I received my first warmer and scented wax bars as a gift when I was pregnant with my twins. I instantly fell in love with these items. I put the warmer in my kitchen and was in heaven. You know how when you are pregnant you are super sensitive to smells. You need things to smell good.
When You Love Something - Add Another
I purchased another warmer a short time later to put in the boys room. So with two warmers in our home, there were no problems, not even a tug on either of the warmers cords. I had the one in their room tucked nicely in a corner, with no worries.
Mobility Usually Leads To A Topple or Two
One day when the boys were about a year or so old... and very mobile... The solitude of the warmer that was tucked so nicely in the corner was expunged (he-he I just wanted to use a big word). The boys got into it and General Potty got it all over the bed and all over himself.
No Harm - No Foul
He just stopped and looked at his hand and wondered what was on him. No crying, no damage. He was perfectly fine. We peeled the wax off of him and went about cleaning up the mess. With a plastic edge (we used... I think our Pet Perks card) we scraped the wax off the wall and bed and the bedding all washed with no sign of any wax ever being around.
Home and Child Safety
This is a very safe product to have in any home, but especially any home with small children. There are so many smells associated with children... Poop, urine, vomit, etc., etc., etc. We desperately need the sources of good smells in our home to help shade, if not eliminate, the odors that are inevitably around with our kids.
Warmers - Scented Oils - Candles...
I have never used scented oils and I never will. I will never use a candle again, unless it is an emergency. I have been in too many homes that have permanent soot on the walls and ceiling. I have also had a few acquaintances have their homes burned to the ground because someone forgot to blow the candle out. Candles and oils are literally being burned... I don't want anything burning in my house...
In Conclusion
I love these items because they don't burn, they are just warm. They smell great and last a very long time, but most importantly, I never have to worry about them harming my precious babies. My personal opinion is that wickless candles are the way to go.
Enjoy right now!
Cara :)
