We recently put our Blockbuster membership on hold. They made some changes to their online deal that kind of irritated a lot of people. So we put it on hold and we are trying out Netflix. So far I am really happy with Netflix.
With Blockbuster we could never actually get a change on our account to take place and only got two movies a month with free exchanges at the store...
Who wants to have to go to the store?
I felt that it was a reasonable price to have this online membership where they would mail the movies to us. The change they made was, previously we would get one movie at a time and we could go and exchange it at the store. So we would take the second movie back when we returned the exchange and get another movie... they made it so we could only have a total of one movie at a time at any given time... less effective for us.
Netflix sent me a movie that wouldn't even load, I got online and reported it. the next day I had a replacement and they didn't even wait to receive the dysfunctional movie first! I was really excited about that. I only had so much time per month to do the movies and mail time takes time. I missed out a couple of times on my quota. It was really obnoxious when I look back at it.
We are big movie buffs, even though since the boys have been born, we basically get to watch videos the one night a week we are together. I get to watch all the movies I want on the evenings that Hubby is at school. It is kind of nice for me to get to see every movie I want.
I do enjoy a movie a lot more with his obnoxious commentary and the way he memorizes a movie after hearing it one time and then proceeds to repeat it over, and over, and over again. ;)
He finally stopped griping about the fact that I will let the boys watch Disney Channel all day long and haven't seen a show that I didn't approve of... Correction: I don't let them watch it all day long, when they do want to watch I don't mind them watching Disney Channel at any given time. That was my point. :) So now he will sit and watch it without commenting. (I think secretly he really likes it. he he he)
So if you are looking into a mail movie option, I would recommend Netflix. Why didn't we try them sooner?
Enjoy right now!
Cara :)
